Increase your clarity, confidence, and competitiveness in your career hunt with our personalized career counseling, job search coaching or résumé writing. Our customized process is tailored to each client’s needs. To maximize each session, “homework” is assigned between sessions based on personal goals. The first session is a dialogue where personal needs and challenges are discussed and diagnosed, and an action-oriented game plan is created. Additional sessions are selected at the client’s discretion. Telephone coaching sessions are available for long-distance clients.
Career Counseling
1. Self-Insight
Whether it be discovering the first career path or the third, many young professionals are lost in their career. The first step in the process for many is to identify and articulate personal strengths/talents, personality attributes, work-related values and motivators, and interests/ passions. This process results in a personal career profile which leads to increased clarity when evaluating career options. A number of activities including career assessments are included.
2. Career Matchmaking
Once the personal career profile is developed, then career options are discovered and evaluated. In this stage, clients are guided to build a list of potential meaningful careers and taught how to research each one in order to select the best pathway.
3. Skill-Gap Analysis
When a target is in sight, the last step is to identify the gaps that exist between achieving that objective. These may include additional education / training, or identifying appropriate entry points to a career target. This leads to job searching.
Job Search Coaching
1. Product Development.
The first question to ask is “what is my product?” Clarifying the personal “product” that is for “sale” is the first stage of the job hunt. This foundational stage focuses on clarifying an individual’s unique value proposition for the job market.
2. Packaging.
Once the personal “product” has been refined, “packaging” occurs as the client’s blend of skills are portrayed through a résumé, cover letter, elevator pitch, online presence, or a variety of other avenues to ensure a clear and consistent communication of value.
3. Marketing.
This is the toughest stage of the job hunt. The emphasis is on turning up job leads and converting them into interviews. Potential “customers” (organizations) are identified and a powerful personal marketing plan is created and rigorously executed.
4. Sales.
The final stage results in interviewing and negotiating your job offer. The most important stage focuses on convincing an employer that you are best candidate while hopefully increasing the position’s starting salary as well!
Career Counseling & Job Search Coaching rates*
- $100 per single, 60 minute session
- $250 for a 3 session package (for an additional $75, one session of this package can be converted to a résumé writing session, a $116 dollar value)

Most clients will start by with 3 session package to jump-start their career hunt. From there, clients return for coaching on an “as needed” basis. For instance, perhaps a client feels confident about their goals, job search materials, and has a solid marketing plan and follows up for just-in-time interview coaching. Telephone counseling and coaching sessions are also available for long-distance clients.
*Two career assessments are bundled together at $100 (or $50 each) and are often administered during career counseling sessions. Assessment feedback is interpreted to help identify potential career paths, increase networking effectiveness and enhance interviewing skills.
Résumé Writing
Several résumé preparation options are available and each results in a highly impressive document. Clients are usually amazed at how stellar they look and sound on paper!
1. Plan A: Résumé Writing Session (most popular)
In this 120 minutes session the client is a partner in the process as their résumé is re-formatted prior to meeting and the document is written right in front of them. A review of the modern résumé is provided and then the résumé is re-worked until the client sparkles on paper. The finished product is a nearly or fully completed document.
2. Plan B: Hands-Off Résumé Writing
The résumé makeover option requires the least effort on your part and is very hands off. Clients undergo an intake session by phone, and walk away with a fully written, market ready résumé that is keyword optimized for search engines and job boards.

- Plan B: Hands-Off Résumé Writing – $350
